Getting Ready For University

Student Meal Plan

I've written this meal plan for students going to university for the first time and perhaps cooking for themselves for the first time, too! I've kept it relatively simple, bearing in mind the limited cooking facilities and storage space.

Hopefully, this will be a good starting point for those who are not confident in the kitchen. I made sure to include a source of protein and vegetables in each meal but I've stuck to ‘safe’ options for the less adventurous!

I've pulled together a shopping list with everything you need for the recipes in this week's plan. I have priced the list at Aldi, but there's no doubt you will find similar prices at Lidl, Tesco, or whatever supermarket is closest to you!

If you follow the shopping list I created, there will be a couple of sausages, 4 eggs, wraps, and rolls left over - perfect for breakfast or lunch for a few days during the week!

There will also be yorkshire puddings and mixed veg left in the freezer for next week, as well as spaghetti, gravy granules, herbs and spices in the cupboard.
